FAQ

What kind of art do you make?

I create bright, playful, abstract art for any space that could use more colour, energy, and joy. My work is intuitive and free-flowing, designed to spark inspiration and remind us that we don’t always need to follow the rules — in art or in life.

Who is your art for?

My art is for anyone who wants to bring more creativity, fun, and warmth into their surroundings. Whether it’s a living room, bedroom, workspace, or just a corner that needs life, my pieces are made for people who love to embrace joy, curiosity, and a little rule-breaking along the way.

What inspires your work?

I’m inspired by the parts of life that are messy, playful, and authentic. My journey as a psychologist, as a mum, and as someone who returned to intuitive, bold, abstract colour after years of careful botanical drawing all feed into my work. I love creating pieces that encourage others to trust their instincts, take risks, and enjoy the process — in art and in life.

Why “A Colourful Mess”?

Because if you’re going to pursue a meaningful and fulfilling life, it’s going to be messy! Feelings are messy. Creativity is messy. And life is messy. But if you can embrace the mess (or at least learn to accept it), you'll find the beauty, wisdom, authenticity and colour there too. I wanted a name that celebrates the freedom, fun, and emotional truth of not needing to be perfect or polished to be valuable.
